A good portion of the Hogwarts grounds is water, for a large lake resides just south of the castle. First year students travel across this lake via boat where they are escorted to a small chamber to await sorting; and students are often found relaxing here on days off, getting a tan or taking a swim.

The table was nearly overflowing with everything a professional baker could ever need and far more than someone with Alex’s skills would have any idea how to use. Tas was the baker in their apartment, and some days Alex was lucky to even cook spaghetti without messing something up, but she’d be damned if she let her best friend go without a birthday cake.
