ASTRONOMY TOWER

The tallest tower at Hogwarts houses the Astronomy classroom, a room where students study every facet of the planets and the stars. A charm allows the night sky to display upon the ceiling, while telescopes line the room for students to use. Several orreries are placed around the room with various displays of parts of the solar system that students are allowed to study. Tucked away in a corner of the room is the Professor’s office, where star charts litter the room. Instead of a typical light, the space is illuminated with a constant charm of the moon.

NORTH TOWER

Up a little wooden latter and through a trapdoor in the ceiling, students plunge headfirst into the ancient and sacred art of unfogging the future. Wide windows illuminate the Divination classroom and all inside. There are several rows of tables draped in red velvet coverings, crystal balls seated as the centerpieces. A charmed globe chandelier hangs above the classroom wrapped in banners with long forgotten languages. An ominous dark fog clouding the globe every now and again; most of the time, it's nothing to be afraid of.

OWLERY

This tower is home to hundreds of owls, belonging to the school and Hogwarts individuals. Those who wish to send a letter often come here.

PREFECT TOWER

In a rarely-traversed area of the Seventh Floor corridor hangs a portrait of a girl with brunette hair and a penetrating stare: Merwyn Maverick, a Head Girl during the founders' time who dedicated her time to catching rule-breakers. If one wishes to enter this hidden tower, they must proudly wear their prefect badge on their robes and recite the password. Behind the portrait, a tall spiral staircase that goes up to an ancient-looking oak door. The room itself is massive and circular, with five large bookcases and equally-tall windows on each side. On the side of each bookcase is a handle that opens a passageway to different parts of the castle. Several comfortable-looking couches and tables for prefects to lounge and relax are spread throughout the room, beneath ancient tapestries hanging from the high-rafters.

While most of the students seem to use the towers as a way to get away from the peering eyes of the professors, the spires are also great for looking out over the lovely scenery. If only they would stop snogging and appreciate it.
